Painting Culture

For the month of October 2022 we will be celebrating Black History Month. During our October Half Term sessions we will be exploring Black history and culture to influence what is created. There will be a showcase on Thursday 27th October 2022 to celebrate all the work that young people have created over Black History Month. We want to invite all the young people that access our autumn activities and their families to attend the showcase. This Black History Month, come and celebrate black culture and heritage with a 1-day painting workshop. Exploring the everyday and fundamental parts of culture, from food to family, you'll use the painting medium gouache to express who you are and where you come from. You'll also see the value of how you paint, picking up some new techniques along the way.

3. Turn up to your chosen course and have FUN!

Please note: All courses are subject to change or cancellation at the discretion of the Barnet Children's Service.

Lastly our workshop is face to face delivery. Please note Parents and Carers will not be able to wait on site. There will be a drop off and collect point only. If you would like certain children to be grouped in the same bubble due to them being friends or due to travel arrangements, please can both parents/carers let the tutor know before the workshop.
