Chickenshed Young Company is comprised of our Children's and Youth Theatre groups, which are based in Chickenshed Theatre Southgate. Under the guidance of the Young Company Directors and Head of Young Company, these groups are completely youth-guided. In this way we are able to ensure that the positive skills of all individual members are at the heart of everything we do. Courage, magic, honesty, passion, emotion and truth. These are all the things that make our members, participants and performers so wonderfully unique. As well as having the opportunity to develop their performance skills and take part in main house productions, everyone who takes part gets to grow and thrive in an inclusive environment where being different is the one thing we all have in common.

Every young person MUST go through the process below to access the course.
1. Press the 'Login or Register To book' button on the course page and complete and submit a booking.
2. If your application has been successful you will receive an email confirming your child's place
3. Turn up to your chosen course and have FUN!

Please note: All courses are subject to change or cancellation at the discretion of the Barnet Children's Service.

Just a reminder that your child should wear comfortable clothes and have some water as this is a physical activity. Lastly our sessions are face to face and will be following COVID-19 guidance from the government. Venues have been assessed to ensure social distancing practice is in place and activities will follow a strict bubble grouping system. Please note Parents and Carers will not be able to stay in sessions.. If you would like certain children to be grouped in the same bubble due to them being friends or due to travel arrangements, please can both parents/carers let us know via email byes@barnet.gov.uk
