Overview

Chickenshed is an amazing organisation, which for 45 years has been built upon the stories of the thousands and thousands of people who count themselves part of our community. We believe that every person who joins our company positively changes the way that we work. We work to every individual's strengths, finding the creative environment that will enable them to flourish. We hold weekly workshops for over 900 children and young people - providing them with a safe and rewarding environment where they can gain a new-found confidence and have the chance to regularly perform in major in-house productions.

Session are suitable for young people with any level of previous experience, this Acting Project is a programme of workshops, scripted work, and rehearsals. This project will culminate in a live performance at Chickenshed with lights, music and costumes on 16 July at 7pm.

Our workshops follow the most updated Covid-19 activity guidelines for children and young people so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further information.                                              Like the sound of this course? Just a reminder that your child should wear comfortable clothes and have some water as this can be a physical activity. Also please can you make sure your child brings a packed lunch as the activity is a full day activity.

Lastly we understand that circumstances can change very quickly and sometimes a young person can no longer attend an activity for a number of reasons. Please make sure you update your profile on our website and cancel your booking in advance. Therefore, if you child misses two consecutive sessions in a row or misses 2 separate sessions across the term and we aren’t informed, or an appropriate reason isn't shared we will have to remove your child from the activity. If this continues across a number of our activities, it could impact on your child accessing our activities in the future.
