Fun on the Water Sailing Workshop: Sail, Steer, Explore

Ready to catch the wind and try something new on the water? Join us for our Fun on the Water sailing workshop, a beginner-friendly 3-hour experience packed with adventure, teamwork and fun.

This extended session is perfect for those completely new to sailing, giving you plenty of time to build confidence, learn key skills and enjoy being out on the water.

The session begins with a safety briefing, followed by getting changed into activity wear. You’ll be provided with all the essential equipment, including buoyancy aids, waterproof jackets and wetsuits if needed. Before heading out, there will be a short land-based introduction to help you understand the boat, equipment and basic sailing techniques.

Once you’re ready, you’ll take to the water for an exciting and interactive sailing experience. With plenty of time afloat, you’ll take part in:

  • Learning basic sailing skills and how to control the boat
  • Taking turns steering and working as a team
  • Fun games and challenges on the water
  • A guided sailing journey to practise your new skills

After your time on the water, you’ll return equipment, get changed and be ready for collection.

For sessions specifically designed for SEND participants, an additional coach will be on the water to provide extra support and ensure everyone can fully enjoy the experience.

This workshop includes:

  • A supportive, beginner-friendly introduction to sailing
  • All equipment provided, including safety gear and clothing
  • Guidance from experienced and friendly instructors
  • Fun, active learning that builds confidence and teamwork

It’s a great opportunity to try sailing, develop new skills and enjoy time on the water in a safe and welcoming environment.

Don’t miss out — get ready to sail, steer and explore.
