Kayak Level 1 Course: Learn, Paddle, Progress

Ready to build your skills and gain confidence on the water? Join us for our Kayak Level 1 Course, a 2-day beginner programme designed to help you become comfortable and capable afloat.

This 12-hour course is perfect for complete beginners, giving you the time and support needed to develop core kayaking skills while enjoying a fun and active experience.

Each day begins with a safety briefing, followed by getting changed into activity wear. You’ll be provided with all the essential equipment, including buoyancy aids, waterproof jackets and wetsuits if needed. You’ll also take part in a short land-based session to get familiar with the equipment and basic techniques before heading onto the water.

Across the two days, you’ll spend around 5 hours on the water each day, building your skills through a mix of structured learning and engaging activities.

Over the course, you’ll:

  • Learn essential kayaking skills and techniques
  • Build confidence and control on the water
  • Take part in fun games, challenges and races
  • Practise through short journeys on the water
  • Develop teamwork and communication skills

At the end of each day, you’ll return all equipment, get changed and be ready for collection. As you’ll be spending extended time on the water, it’s recommended to bring two spare sets of clothing.

This course includes:

  • A supportive, beginner-friendly learning environment
  • All equipment provided, including safety gear and clothing
  • Guidance from experienced and friendly instructors
  • A structured programme to help you progress your skills

It’s a great opportunity to learn something new, challenge yourself and gain confidence on the water.

Don’t miss out — get ready to learn, paddle and progress.
