Get ready for three days of creativity, music-making, and media exploration in this dynamic programme for young people aged 11–17. Across the week, participants will build real musical skills, try out hands-on recording techniques, and learn how to communicate their ideas through both sound and performance.
Whether you're discovering music for the first time or already building your own beats, this immersive experience gives you the space to grow, experiment, and create something to be proud of.
Participants will dive into core musical skills, exploring:• Piano technique, scales, and chord progressions• How music is structured and how songs are built• Group rhythm activities and theory-based challenges
This day focuses on turning ideas into a real piece of music:• Writing and structuring an original composition• Exploring mood, storytelling, and lyrical concepts• An introduction to basic recording tools and techniques
The final day brings everything together with a showcase element:• Rehearsing and refining creative work• Recording a final performance or creating a podcast episode• Guided reflection to boost confidence and develop next-step goals
• The ability to play simple melodies and chord progressions• An understanding of songwriting and musical structure• Confidence using microphones and recording equipment• A finished creative outcome to share, such as a recorded track or performance
