Wuma Sports Ltd

Wuma Sports is an independent basketball coaching provider founded in 2023 by semi-professional players Chuck Duru and Prince Lartey. Born from a shared passion for the game and a desire to give back, Wuma Sports uses basketball as a tool to promote health and wellness, character development, and discipline through engaging, fun-filled sessions.

Their mission is clear: to introduce basketball to as many young people as possible, regardless of age, ability, or background. With a strong belief in the transformative power of sport, Chuck and Prince aim to make basketball accessible and impactful—just as it was for them.

Since its inception, Wuma Sports has welcomed over 300 young people to its sessions, which include after school clubs, holiday camps, in-school coaching (lunchtime and PE lessons), and 3x3 recreational sessions.

Many of these programs are delivered in partnership with local schools, councils, and clubs, and are led by experienced coaches who focus on teaching the fundamentals of basketball through inclusive and enjoyable activities.

At Wuma Sports, the goal is not just to develop basketball skills—but to build confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love for the game.

This activity is specifically for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
